In this Junior level studio we explore the process of regional design. Students will learn how to perform a large scale site inventory and analysis using tools such as GIS, visual observation, and local public records. Particular attention will be placed on nature resourses and sense of place. Then, utilizing this inventory and analysis we will undertake a regional design exercise.
This year (Fall 2010) we will be investigating the landscapes of the Great Swamp watershed and exploraing a variety of interventions in those landscapes appropriate to future regional design outcomes.
